Last Sunday, November 18th, was my parents Charles and Arlene Miller’s 56th wedding anniversary. We had a small celebration with our family here at the house. Roy took over and did ALL the cooking. (He also hung streamers and balloons.) I had found an idea online a few days earlier that I loved and decided to duplicate. It was two huge numbers hung on the wall and covered with photos. I had Roy draw and cut a really big number 56 out of cardboard. I went through old photos and picked out over 200 from before they got married to recent ones and had them printed in 4×6 format. Then I glued most of them onto the numbers in chronological order and Roy hung them up on the wall. It turned out pretty cool and my parents seemed to really enjoy looking at all the photos.
For the meal Roy decided on and made a fancy meatloaf from a recipe he found online by a cook that he likes. His computer was in the kitchen with a video of this chef guy demonstrating how to make it. Roy would play it and pause it off and on while following directions. It was pretty cute. Before we ate we did our weekly web cam with Amy and Lyssa in Arizona. Jennifer also poked her head in on their side to wish her grandparents a happy anniversary. After the meal I took some picture of my parents.
Here’s to many more years mom and dad! Love you!

Happy Wedding Anniversary from us – sorry, cause belated – to your Mom and Dad, Nancy, too.
Do you know, what’s funny?
On Nov. 22 we celebrated our 28th Wedding Anniversary, exactly half of the years your parents have.
Give them a big hug of us.
